Today, June 14, 2026, the SUMUD Project's free clinic launched to care for the wounded and patients with brain and neurological conditions.

God willing, we will reopen the hospital, from the very place where Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya was detained.

We will continue the journey, at Kamal Adwan Hospital, on the front line with the occupation. Today we have come here to revive it.

We reopened the hospital after a long closure as part of the SUMUD Project to care for the injured and patients with brain and neurological conditions.

Today marks the first medical service from the farthest point on the border.

Dr. Ahmed AlKahlout, a neurosurgeon, is the medical director and representative of the SUMUD Project for Neuro-Medical Care.

SUMUD Project aimed at assisting the most affected and vulnerable groups in the Gaza Strip.

We naturally began in the disaster-stricken areas very close to the “yellow line” to reach patients who are unable to access medical care in other parts of the Strip. Our people in the far north of the Gaza Strip have to walk long distances to receive treatment because there is no public transportation.

This hospital suffered the most destruction during the war and throughout the three-year conflict. The residents of northern Gaza, whose homes have been destroyed and who suffer from severe and complex injuries — especially neurological injuries and conditions requiring neurosurgery — have found no one to provide them with the treatment, surgeries, and medications they desperately need.

Today, at Kamal Adwan Hospital, we are achieving this great and remarkable milestone: providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and medical services for patients with neurological conditions and requiring neurosurgery right here within Kamal Adwan Hospital.
