SUMUD Project Team Workshop - June 13, 2026

The day before we opened our doors, we gathered as a team.

On June 13, the SUMUD medical team — led by Dr. Ahmed Alkahlout — came together for a final workshop. We reviewed protocols, aligned our vision, and prepared for the launch of something unprecedented: free, specialized neuro-medical care delivered directly to the most vulnerable communities in Gaza.

The next day, June 14, we opened our very first clinic at Kamal Adwan Hospital — the furthest north in Gaza, closest to the front lines.

We treated 55 patients that day. But Kamal Adwan is currently operating at only 5% of its capacity. The gap between need and resources is staggering.

When we opened patient registration just hours before the workshop, we received over 1,400 registrations in less than 48 hours. As of today, that number has surpassed 2,100 — and it continues to grow.

The numbers are stark:

7 out of 10 injuries in Gaza require neurological intervention

Over 150,000 injuries recorded by the Ministry of Health

This is not just a clinic. This is a lifeline.

None of this would have been possible without the full support of NASAM Charity and a dedicated team of volunteer doctors, nurses, and specialists who are tirelessly working to reach those who need it most.

At SUMUD, our mission is clear: bring care to the most vulnerable. We started in the North. We will not stop.

"Where Humanity Meets Healing." ❤️‍🩹

Support our mission.
